Fast, expert care from your local pharmacist — when it’s safe and appropriate to do so.

Our trained pharmacists can assess and treat a range of everyday minor health conditions, helping you access timely care while ensuring your safety always comes first.

This service is designed for specific, suitable conditions only and includes clear referral to your GP or hospital when needed.

What is the Common Conditions Service?

The Common Conditions Service is a pharmacist-led clinical service delivered under nationally approved HSE clinical protocols.

Under this service, trained pharmacists can assess your symptoms, decide whether the service is safe and appropriate for you, prescribe prescription-only medication where clinically appropriate, provide self-care advice, or refer you to your GP or hospital if further care is needed.

The service is designed to support GP care, not replace it.
