COVID-19 Coronavirus Update
During this unprecedented time our pharmacies remain open and our dedicated teams will ensure you receive your essential medicine supplies. For up to date information on opening times please see here. Our number one priority is the health of our patients and our colleagues and we are working extremely hard to follow HSE guidelines.
As well as maintaining a regular cleaning protocol of all pharmacy spaces and surfaces, our team are washing their hands regularly & we have implemented a number of other new measures including:
When visiting the Pharmacy, please maintain a 2m distance from staff and other customers – we’ve installed yellow markers to guide you instore as well as perspex screens at the counter to protect our colleagues and patients. If the markers are all being used instore, please wait outside until one becomes available, and maintain the recommended 2m distance from others.
Where possible, we’re asking customers to use contactless payment – the limit has now increased to €50

Please don’t enter the pharmacy if you feel unwell or have a cough or fever – phone your GP for medical advice We very much appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.
Ordering my prescription
So we can have your medication ready when you visit the pharmacy, please pre-order your prescription.
The best way to order is using our App. It’s quick and simple to use. You can order a repeat or send us a picture of your new prescription. You can also order on behalf of family members. We’ll let you know when your prescription is ready and you’ll also be given the opportunity to pay securely online before calling to collect your medicine. The App can be downloaded for free at: Google Play or The App Store Alternatively you can email us. Store emails can be found here.

Are you cocooning or self isolating due to the COVID-19 emergency?
It’s important to follow the HSE’s guidelines to stay at home and not visit your local pharmacy for your medicine. A family member, friend or neighbour can help - they can visit the pharmacy and collect your medicine for you. They’ll just need to give their name, address and may be asked to show ID.
So we can have your medicine ready, please call the pharmacy in advance, or use our App to pre-order your medicine (if you’re not sure how to use the App, your relative or friend can order from their phone).
If you’re concerned about accessing your essential medicine, don’t hesitate to contact the pharmacist in your local Hickey’s Pharmacy. We will make arrangements for you to receive your medicine.
I’m experiencing coronavirus COVID-19 symptoms
If you are experiencing symptoms, you should self-isolate regardless of travel or contact history and phone your GP. Please do not visit a pharmacy if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or awaiting a COVID-19 test result. If you need your medication please call the pharmacy. Reducing your risk & preventing the spread of COVID-19
